The Pros and Cons of Prohibition

Over the years the War on Drugs has had it's share of collateral damage...

in terms of life, liberty and loss and in it's wake many debates have ensued, yet none have been successful in stopping it from being waged. Many tax dollars have been funneled and it has affected personal and states rights along with foreign affairs with friendly and not so friendly countries.

Although Marijuana should be looked at as less dangerous than alcohol, hard drugs can't be considered with a lighthearted, hazy Cheech and Chong look, We have to be serious and weigh freedoms with ramifications of crime along with the moral implications of making it easier for an addict to ruin their lives. Of course there's personal choice involved but once addicted there is another level reached and most reformed addicts will tell you that the person has no control over their lives so in terms of society we may have to view addicts as a temporary form of insanity and control might have to be taken. Regardless of moral rights and wrongs at the core, the discussion will be ongoing no matter what the status of prohibition so it's important to look at it from all sides... let's see a personal choice take on the topic...
